An open world environment like a huge enemy base or something could be really cool where you're given a whole bunch of objectives and you can tackle them however you like, in whatever order you like. That could work well I think.

And like right at the start, you have no weapons bar a knife and your trusty tranq gun, but then you can go off searching for weapons and items to make mission easier. Also, you have to sneak around everywhere at the start, but as the game goes on you ca...

The guy who wrote this seems a bit... you know... touched.

He says that the Bungie logo is one of the worst because it has a 'bouncy ball' in it and has a go at the SCE logo for being a 'dumb orange diamond' and tells them to steal the Dark Knight font because they 'stole' Spiderman's... Even though Sony have all the rights to the films and the font and all that stuff. Probably even Peter Parker's armpit hair tbh.

So yeah, this article is like a toilet made from rais...

...but most people reach points in their life where they're really excited about something, but they usually restrain themselves, at least they would if they were in front of a crowd of 100s of people. What this guy was doing just isn't normal.

The man's a lunatic.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. I bet the conversations you could have with him would be mind blowing. He would be able to distil the essence of concepts like quantum theory into a few yelps and...

I wonder if, in marketing terms, $160,000 is considered a large amount of money to reach 1 million potential consumers. For all we know, it could be a bargain.

Either way, PSN gets the same demos as 360 when it comes to multi-plat games (bar one or two... I can think of one) so it obviously isn't making much of a difference. It would obviously be better if the charge wasn't needed, but hey, it's not money out of my pocket, and if I applied the 16 cents per gig to everything I dow...

His reasons are fair enough I suppose. It's just, having completed KZ already and had enough time with the online to know that it is as smooth as Vaseline coated silk, his reasons aren't valid. Apart from the 'too many other games' one, that still applies.

Basically, it's amazing, the online runs brilliantly, the single player is superb and all together, 90% of the gaming media were bang on with the scores they gave.

It should be interesting to see how this affects things on our end.

Still a British bloke at the head of Sony has a nice ring to it. XD

I getting really disillusioned with the whole 'game journalism' thing. About 10% of it is made up of reputable, non-biased, PROFESSIONAL people and the rest is fanboys with some cheap server space who reckon that game journalism is just a case of playing a game for an hour or two then writing up a knee-jerk reaction, or making up some BS about something to either stand out from the crowd or to support your system of choice.

It would be so easy for me to start up my own little web...

Yeah, the whole thing smacks of industry bigwigs who don't have any idea what they're talking about trying to get down with the kids.

Or less than half the length of the proper game for half the cost.

But you'd have to be a pessimist to look at it like that.

Yeah. TBH, if it was just a 'wind sim' where you blew some petals around a field, you'd get bored pretty fast. I actually really enjoyed playing through Flower. It's still uber zenny, it's just uber zenny with an ultimate aim.

Christ! My sisters using the damn playstation to watch a film with her friends!

I don't see why SCEE didn't release it early morning to relieve some of the traffic.

TBH, you can't trust what Solidus says. He likes to train small boys and watch them fight in wars. Plus he can be tricked by an old guy with a revolver fetish.

Then again, he is rather tasty with a blade.

I would have to go with Metal Gear on this occasion. If it has Metal Gear on it, I'm going to buy it.

We don't buy ours because we're so enamoured with your bounty of virtual delights that nothing on our system can compare...

And that's the truth! No, really.

In my opinion, Firefox is the best. There's just been so much though put into how the tabs work and how you navigate the tabs, open new ones etc. Plus AdBlock is pretty handy.

""So, instead of blaming everyone and everything else, try blaming Sony for screwing this up, you sure as hell would have blame Microsoft if the roles were reversed.""

What are you trying to say here? You've already 'ruled out' higher price and the year long headstart, so how have Sony screwed up again? Baring in mind this gen is FAR from over and it's still all very much to play for.

And they must be ridiculed.

The way I see it, there are 2 and only 2 reasons that the PS3 is behind. 1. The 360 was released a year earlier (say what you want but that IS a valid argument) and 2. The PS3 is too expensive.

Considering those things, the PS3 is doing pretty well and a price cut is all Sony really needs to start closing the gap.

I can sort of understand the lack of confidence in Sony this gen but let's just remember what the deciding factor in the Blu-Ray - HD DVD war was. Remember...
